Abstract
The damage that occurs on the pavement is often caused by the condition of the asphalt mixture that is not good enough to hold traffic loads, caused by the material and climatic conditions. The use of natural rubber and crumb rubber is intended so that these two materials can help improve the quality of the asphalt so that it can increase the durability of the asphalt mixture. The purpose of this research is to increasing quality of asphalt, especially on the AC-WC. In this research, SIR20 is used as natural rubber material and 30 mesh size crumb rubber as a crumb rubber material. The study was conducted by testing 45 samples with 3 different variables consisting of 15 standard asphalt, 15 natural rubber modified asphalt, and 15 rubber powder modified asphalt. The results of this study showed that the optimum bitumen content was 6.25%, 6.05%, and 6.025%, with MQ values of 277.5 kg / mm, 404.91 kg / mm, and 547.92 kg / mm.
