Abstract
This research was an attempt to identify how exchange rate and gross domestic product (GDP) influence vaiue import Indonesia. Secondary data of the periode to 2010 are used. The data are analyzed in a qualitatively and quantitatively which is i ising multiple regression computation of ordinary least sqaure (OLS) and first difference method. The result of this research show exchange rate and gross domestic product (GDP) with tjpgethec significantly influence valeu import Indonesia. The mul.jjpJ/t regression analysis indicated the value of R“ = 0,871891 meaning that the independent variabel had a very significant influence on the dependent variabel. In other vvord, 87.1891% of value import Indonesia in the periode of 1980 to 2010 was strongly re^&ted to the exchange rate and GDP. The rest of 12.8109% could be explained by other factor out of the model, which were considerd constant (caterist paribus).
