Abstract
This study was aimed at finding out the effect of electronic non-cash transactions, product domestic bruto, and the interest rate on the deraand for money in Indonesia. Secondary data used in this study were time series data in the period from January 2010 to December 2012 in the form of reports published by Bank Indonesia and the Central Statistical Agency. This was a quantitative study using vector auto regression (VAR) to analyze the data. The study showed that: (1) GDP had a significant positive effect on the demand for money and the non-cash transactions and interest rate had negative and significant effect. (2) mostly, the factors that influenced the demand for money were the credit card transactions.
