Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the influence of wages, age and female population on the labor force participation rate (LFPR) of women in the Province of South Sumatra in the period of 1998-2012. The data used in this research were the secondary data in the period of 1998-2012 obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics. The data were analyzed by using the multiple linear regression and estimated by the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS). The data were processed by using the E-views 6.0 program. The research results showed that the variable wages, age and female population significantly affected the labor force participation rate of women in South Sumatra in the period of 1998-2012
