Abstract

The value of coal recovery that does not reach the predetermined target or the amount of coal extracted is less than the amount of reserve data will be detrimental to the company. To find out how effective the coal is mined, the results can be used in calculating coal reserves in pit section 2 of PT Budi Gema Gempita. The data needed to analyze this research are main seam statigraphic data, topographic maps, coal density and other supporting data. Based on the calculation of coal reserves, 6A1 seam is 255,810 tons, 6A2 seam is 240,470 tons, 6A seam is 651,815 tons, and Upper and Lower 6B seam is 38,930 tons and 4,117 tons. Based on the calculation of Coal Recovery on Coal Cleaning activity, in 6A1 seam it was 81% and the factors that caused volume reduction in coal cleaning activities in 6A1 seam were the number of inserts and at 6A1 layer coal was not taken because in that seam the coal was mixed with pack rock. The 6A2 seam has a recovery value of 94%. The 6A seam has a recovery value of 99%. Seam 6B has a recovery value of 90%. The recovery reserves in the 6A1 seam which had coal recovery of 81% were 207,206 tons and a Stripping Ratio of 14.97. In the 6A2 seam which has coal recovery of 94%, it is 226,042 tons and a Stripping Ratio of 0.34. In the 6A seam, which has a coal recovery of 99% is 645,297 tons and a Stripping Ratio of 1.32. The Upper and Lower 6B seams each had the same coal recovery of 99%, which was 38,541 tonnes and 4,076 tonnes. Stripping Ratio on the Upper and Lower 6B seam is 8.26 and 1.66
