Abstract
This thesis is entitled "Street Singer Ogan Ilir's Survival Strategy in the Middle of the Corona Virus Pandemic (Covid-19)". The problems taken in this study are how the activities of street singers before and during the Covid-19 Pandemic took place in Indonesia, especially in Ogan Ilir Regency and how the survival strategies carried out by street singers in the face of the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are the activity of busking before the corona virus pandemic, namely free busking time, many options for busking places, and visitors where busking is crowded. The activity of busking during the corona virus pandemic, namely the short time of busking, many places for busking are closed, and visitors to small food stalls and the strategies used by street singers during the corona virus pandemic, namely the latest song updates, singing songs according to the age of visitors, training before busking, and increase the duration of singing when the diners are busy, while the network strategy is to join Permata Band and join the Punk Ogan Ilir Children Group.
