Abstract

This research analyzed some factors that influenced the spectacle tax revenue in Palembang. The factors that had correlation with the spectacle tax revenue were the number of cinemas, the number of spectators, and ticket price. The results of factor estimation showed that there was strong correlation between spectacle tax with the number of cinemas (xl), the number of spectators (x2), and ticket price (x3). The role of spectacle tax (variable Y) in explaining variable X was shown by the coefficient of partial determination (R) was 0.797. This number meant that 79.7% total variation of spectacle tax was able to be explained by variable x. Meanwhile, the remaining of 23.3% was influenced by other variables excluded the models which were considered constant (cateris paribus).
