Abstract

This study aims to determine the associative social interactions and social interactions that occur in the community in Batumarta Unit I Village, Lubuk Raja District, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The concept used in this research is the concept of social interaction from Gillin and Gillin. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The technique of collecting data was carried out by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study that the social interactions that occur in society consist of 2, namely associative social interaction and dissociative social interaction. Associative social interactions that occur in which people compromise or make agreements to live in harmony and mutual tolerance of existing differences, there is a mixture of ethnicity and culture in terms of language and marriage, and there are substitutions or changes in jagongan activities that are replaced by thanksgiving or yasinan activities. and there is an increase in the use of language that previously could only understand and use one language to be able to understand and use more than one language. Whereas in dissociative social interaction there is competition that occurs in the struggle for power or village government structures to gain the benefits of a ruling group. competition to introduce their ethnicity and culture to other groups in order to attract the attention and participation of other groups in their ethnic and cultural activities, and in this village there are minor conflicts. This conflict is caused by the habits, procedures, and behavior of others that are not liked and are not in accordance with them, which then creates a small anger that is buried in the heart Keywords: Social Interaction, Plural, Society.
