Abstract

Penelitian mengenai Fotokatalitik Degradasi Zat Warna Methylene Blue Menggunakan Komposit Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 telah dilakukan. Aplikasi Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 dilakukan untuk mendegradasi zat warna methylene blue menggunakan bantuan sinar UV. Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD, SEM-EDS, VSM, dan UV-Vis DRS. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan intensitas puncak yang tajam pada 2θ = 35,87° dengan ukuran kristal sebesar 12,10 nm. Hasil karakterisasi menggunakan SEM-EDS menunjukkan Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 memiliki morfologi bulat memanjang dan seragam dengan komposisi unsur Fe (5,29%), Si (3,89%), O (46%), dan Ti (44,81%). Hasil karakterisasi menggunakan VSM diperoleh nilai magnetisasi saturasi Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 sebesar 55,23 emu/g. Hasil karakterisasi menggunakan UV-Vis DRS diperoleh nilai energi celah pita Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 sebesar 1,9183 eV. pHpzc komposit Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 yang dihasilkan sebesar 5,5. Kondisi terbaik degradasi menggunakan Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 terhadap methylene blue terjadi pada pH 6, konsentrasi 25 mg/L, dan waktu penyinaran UV selama 60 menit diperoleh hasil degradasi sebesar 93,26%. Hasil methylene blue yang terdegradasi dianalisis menggunakan KLT dengan nilai Rf sebesar 0,68.
