Abstract
Penelitian variasi konsentrasi Zinc Mercapthanbenzothiazole (ZMBT) dan zeolite terhadap kualitas karet busa telah dilakukan pada penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menentukan pengaruh kosentrasi Zinc-2-Mercaptobenzothiazole (ZMBT) dan Zeolit terhadap kualitas karet busa terbaik dengan parameter uji perpanjangan putus, tegangan putus, kekerasan dan pampatan tetap. Variasi konsentrasi ZMBT yang digunakan 10, 30, 50 dan 60% serta variasi Zeolit yang digunakan 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 dan 1 g. Hasil pengujian Konsentrasi ZMBT terbaik diperoleh pada kosentrasi 10% dengan nilai perpanjangan putus sebesar 210%, nilai tegangan putus sebesar 68.5 N/mm2, nilai kekerasan sebesar 35 kg dan nilai pampatan tetap sebesar 32.67%, sedangkan pada jumlah Zeolit 0.75 g dengan kosentrasi ZMBT 50% didapatkan nilai perpanjangan putus 250%, nilai tegangan putus 11.53 N/mm2, nilai kekerasan 30 kg dan nilai pampatan tetap 10.74%. Hasil yang didapatkan memenuhi standar SNI 06-0999-1989 tipe medium pada kelas 2. Pengaruh konsentrasi ZMBT dan jumlah Zeolit yang menyebabkan meningkatnya nilai perpanjangan putus dan menurunnya nilai tegangan putus, kekerasan dan pampatan tetap. The effect of concentration variations of Zinc Mercapthanbenzothiazole (ZMBT) and zeolite on the quality of foam rubber had been carried out in this study. This study aims to determine concentration and effect of Zinc-2- Mercaptobenzothiazole (ZMBT) and Zeolite on the best quality foam rubber with test parameters of elongation at break, tensile strength, hardness and compression set. The ZMBT concentration variations were 10, 30, 50 and 60% and the zeolite variations used were 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1 g. The results obtained for the best concentration of ZMBT is 10% with elongation at break is 210%, tensile strength value is 8.5 N/mm2, hardness value is 35 kg and compression set value is 32.67%, meanwhile at 0.75 g Zeolite with ZMBT concentration 50% obtained an elongation break 250%, tensile strength 11.53 N/mm2, hardness 30 kg and compression set 10.74%. The results is fit the SNI 06-0999-1989 requirement for medium type in class 2. The effect of ZMBT and the amount of Zeolite causes elongation at break to be inversely proportional to the tensile strength, hardness and compression set.
