Abstract

Courts in Indonesia, one of which is the Palembang High Court, are required to continue to strive to uphold transparency in the administration of government. Its realization is proven through the public being given access to obtain information regarding the handling of cases through the Case Tracing Information System website. It takes great judgment and effort in determining the panel of judges as the main holder of the course of the case, especially the chairman of the panel of judges. The number of incoming appeal cases plus the short time to determine the panel of judges with data storage places (databases) that are not yet good. So we need a system that hopes to help the effectiveness of the selection of a judge so that the determination of judges is more objective and does not exceed the predetermined time limit and fulfills the priorities required by the Palembang High Court. The system that will be built is the Decision Support System for the Determination of the Chair of the Panel of Judges. The method used in determining the chairman of the panel of judges is the Analytical Hierarchy Process as a calculation method. This method is able to convert subjective judgments into numerical values to obtain priority results and also take into account validity up to the inconsistency tolerance limit. This determination process uses 6 criteria, namely experience, knowledge and skills, leadership, frequency of decisions, duration of termination and education.
