Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh suku bunga acuan Bank Indonesia (BI Rate) dan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar Amerika terhadap Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) di Indonesia dari kuatal III tahun 2005 sampai kuartal II tahun 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dalam bentuk time series yaitu data kuartalan dari kuartal III tahun 2005 sampai kuartal II 2013 yang diperoleh dari berbagai laporan dan informasi yang dipublikasikan oleh Bursa Efek Indonesia dan Bank Indonesia. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif.. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) variabel suku bunga acuan Bank Indonesia (BI Rate) berpengaruh negatif terhadap Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) selama tahun pengamatan (2) variabel nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar Amerika berpengaruh negatif terhadap Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (rHSG) selama tahun pengamatan.
