Abstract

This study aims to investigate the difference stigma towards PLWHA is observed HIV/AIDS knowledge levels among students of Sriwijaya University. The hyphotesis of this study there is a difference stigma towards PLWHA is observed HIV/AIDS knowledge levels among students of Sriwijaya University. The population o f this study were students from all faculties except medical faculty and public health faculty who are students of Sriwijaya University with 38.714 students. The research sample were 224 people and for the try out were 50 people. This study used kouta sampling technique. Stigma were measured by the scale which refers to the dimension from USAID (2006) and HIV/AIDS knowledge with reference to information about HIV/AIDS from Irianto (2014). The research used Independent Sample T Test. The result of this study showed there is a difference stigma towards PLWHA with HIV/AIDS knowledge levels with significance value of 0,000 (p<0,05). Thus the hyphotesis is accepted.
