Abstract

Judul penelitian ini adalah Analisis Pengaruh IHK dan Ekspansi Kredit terhadap Jumlah Uang Beredar di Indonesia periode 2004-2012 dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh IHK dan ekspansi kredit terhadap jumlah uang beredar. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori penciptaan uang dan teori pertumbuhan ekonomi dan metode yang digunakan adalah metode OLS (Ordirtary Least Squares). Data yang digunakan adalah data time series kuartal yang diperoleh dari Bank Indonesia pada periode 2004:1-2012:4. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah indeks harga konsumen (IHK) berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan yang artinya apabila IHK mengalami kenaikan maka jumlah uang beredar akan turun dan sebaliknya. Sedangkan ekspansi kredit berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap jumlah uang beredar yang artinya apabila kredit mengalami peningkatan maka jumlah uang beredar juga meningkat dan sebaliknya. Adapun saran dalam penelitian ini adalah Bank Indonesia dan pemerintah harus dapat menjaga stabilitas harga dan kredit perbankan agar tidak terjadi pertambahan jumlah uang beredar yang lebih besar.
