Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the influence of deposit interest rates, inflation, and economic growth on the private bond demand in Indonesia. The data used in this study were the secondary data in the period of 1990-2013 fforn the publication of Bank of Indonesia. The technique of analysis was multiple regression with the ordinary least squares method. The private bond demand was the dependent variable, while deposit interest rates, inflation, and economic growth were the independent variables. The data were processed by using the Eviews 6.0 program. The results of this study indicated that deposit interest rates had a significant negative influence on the private bond demand in Indonesia; inflation had a significant negative influence on the private bond demand in Indonesia; and economic growth had a significant negative influence on the demand for private bonds in Indonesia.
