Abstract

The rapid development and application of technology in various sectors, especially in the agricultural sector, has not made all farmers in the country do the same. There are still some areas that still farm traditionally and apply local wisdom in farming. One of them is Sepang Village, which is located in Pampangan Sub district, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatera. As a village with large lowland swamps, the villagers have a livelihood that uses swamps as a place to grow rice and cultivate fish. Although they do not completely close themselves off from technology, the farmers in Sepang Village carry out the stages of their business by applying local wisdom that has been taught and carried out from generation to generation. The objectives of this study were 1) Identifying local wisdom in managing lowland swamp in Sepang Village, Pampangan Sub district, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency 2) Analyzing the level of farming income of lowland swamp rice farmers in Sepang Village, Pampangan Sub district, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency 3) Analyzing the influence of local wisdom and other factors in rice farming (land area, selling price, production yield, production cost) on income of lowland swamp rice farmers in Sepang Village, Pampangan Sub district, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The location of the research was carried out in Sepang Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Data collection was carried out in March 2021.
