Abstract

Every year the need for electrical energy continues to increase, and the use of non-renewable resources is not able to continue to be sufficient. Solar Power Plant is one of the renewable energy sources, where the energy source is available directly from nature and will never run out. Lamp is an electrical equipment that serves to provide lighting which needs special attention in order to create comfort and safety. LED Flood Lights (Light Emite Diode) DC (Direct Current) or better known as floodlights are types of lights that are brighter than ordinary lights but the light produced does not damage the eyes and skin. The method used in this study is an experimental method. Testing the Solar Power Plant along with LED Flood Light DC lamps that have been assembled is carried out directly in the field and collects the necessary data. This lighting system uses 12 Volt / 20 Watt DC Flood Light LED lights sourced from 1 polycrystalline solar panel with a capacity of 100 Watt, which is connected to the PWM Solar Charge Controller and stored in the battery and then flowed to the lamp. Data from the results of the research for 14 days in the time span of 07.00 - 17.00 show that the average voltage on the solar panel is 15.5 Volts, the average current on the solar panel is 1.27 Ampere, with an average power of 19.85 watts , and the average intensity of sunlight is 43395.25 Lux with a temperatur around the power plant of 31.04 C°. By using the PWM Solar Charge Controller the average light starts at 18:14 and the average turns off again at 06:07, the average lamp life is 11 hours 52 minutes, with the average light intensity remaining when The light starts to turn on is 241 Lux, while when the lights start to turn off the light intensity is 247 Lux, while the average light intensity produced by DC LED Floodlight Lamp is 67 Lux. The highest voltage generated by PLTS is 20.29 Volts, while the lowest voltage is 10.65 Volts (during cloudy rains), the excess voltage generated by PLTS can be limited when it reaches the battery by PWM Solar charge controller with a maximum limit of 14 ,7 Volts. Factors that affect the performance of the equipment include the intensity of light from the sun, the condition of the weather around the tool, and the condition of the equipment
