Abstract

In the human-machine interaction system, there are several media that can be used to convey messages or orders, one of which is speaking. One form of today's technological developments related to human-machine interaction systems is the Intelligent Voice Assistant. In speech interaction, machines can understand words in the form of voice signals. The sound signal obtained will sometimes be damaged by various interferences, such as noise and echo. There are several methods that can be used to reduce noise in voice signals, namely by using the Voice Activity Detection (VAD) and Automatic Gain Control (AGC) algorithms. The VAD algorithm functions to detect between sound and noise in the voice signal, while the AGC algorithm functions to control the gain in the signal automatically. From the results of the process that has been carried out, the results of the VAD algorithm are obtained, namely when the algorithm detects the presence of sound, it is given a value of 1 while when it detects the presence of noise it is given a value of 0. the signal. The results obtained from the two algorithms are clean voice signals.
