Abstract
The aims of this research was to improve the growth and product of the oil palm (Elais guineensis Jacq.) during dry season in dry land, to get a combination of phosphor and boron nutrients to increase growth and palm production. The research started from March 2020 to October 2020. The design applied in this research was Factorially Rendomized Block Design with 2 factors and 3 blocks. The first faktor were P0: without phosphor, P1 = TSP/tree, P2 = 5000 g TSP/ tree, P3 = 7500 g TSP/ tree. The second factors were B0 = without borax fertilizer, B1 = 50 g borax fertilizer, B2 = 150 g borax fertilizer, B3 = 150 g borax fertilizer. There were two trees as a sample for each unit treatment, and total tree sample were 96 trees. The results of the research indicated that there were significant interactions between phosphorus and boron for sex ratio, and there was no interaction for the other parameter. The phosphor and boron as a monofactor affected significantly for decreased of number snapping fronds, spear leaves, and male bunches, but increased significantly female bunches and fruit fresh bunches, however there was no effect on sex ratio. The combination of TSP 7500 g/ tree and borak 250 g/ tree can can increases the formation of fresh fruit branches and decreased the number of snapping fronds. Key Words: oil palm, phosphor, boron, snapping frond
