Abstract

The research objectives were: (1) to analyze the income of rubber plantation business in Rimba Alai Village, Banyuasin III District, Banyuasin Regency. (2) to analyze what factors influence the income of rubber farmers in Rimba Alai Village, Banyuasin III District, Banyuasin Regency. (3) to analyze the efficiency of using production factors for rubber farmers in Rimba Alai Village, Banyuasin III District, Banyuasin Regency. This research was conducted in Rimba Alai Village, Banyuasin III District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. 'The method used in this study was a survey method with a questionnaire and direct interviews. Determination of the research location was carried out deliberately with a simple random sampling method, in the village of Rimba Alai 'there were 662 farmers, who became a sample of 42 respondents. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. Based on the results of this study, the average income obtained by farmers in Rimba Alai Village, Banyuasin 3 District, Banyuasin Regency is Rp. 33.249.071 per arable area per year or Rp. 10.746.641 per hectare per year. the use of production factors, namely capital, land area, planting age, labor, fertilizers did not have a positive effect. The use of capital production factors is efficient, while the production factors of land area, planting age, labor and fertilizers are not efficient, so they must be added to achieve efficiency. The adjusted R2 value is 0,542 this value show 0,542 or 54,2% production factors can be explained by variations and five production yield variables, namely capital, land area, planting age, labor and fertilizer, while the remaining 0.458 or 45.8% is explained by other factors not included in the research model.
