Abstract

Since 1958 until now, there is only 1 General Hospital operating in Sungai Penuh City and Kerinci. According to Dukcapil data, the combined population of Keirinci-Sungai Penuh is 352.822, this is unequal with the availability of hospital beds which only have 156 beds. So it takes a hospital that specifically operates in Sungai Penuh. The Therapeutic Architecture concept is a concept that emphasizes the use of natural techniques to accelerate the healing process, this concept is very suitable to be applied to the Sungai Penuh environment where the natural conditions are still beautiful and calm. Utilization of the environment around the site can be optimized to form a safe and meditative space for patients. The application of this concept can be seen in the setting of site and space zoning, optimizing open spaces that are easily accessible, utilizing sunlight as a meditation medium and arranging rooms that provide high privacy and avoid noise and pollution. This is expected to provide more comfort and peace for inpatients.
