Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui miskonsepsi siswa materi kinematika menggunakan instrumen Inventory of Basic Conceptions Mechanics (IBCM) berbasis WEB di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 22 siswa kelas X IPA Olimpiade. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen Inventory of Basic Conceptions Mechanics (IBCM) berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 16 soal dengan alasan terbuka yang dilengkapi dengan CRI berbasis web. Diperoleh hasil rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang pada kategori paham konsep adalah sebesar 6,51%, paham konsep tapi tidak yakin sebesar 0,45%, miskonsepsi sebesar 77,16% dan terakhir kategori tidak paham konsep sebesar 15,88%. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat diidentifikasi bahwa siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi kinematika.
