Abstract

Preparasi ekstrak etanol daun kirinyuh ke dalam submikro partikel bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan sifat senyawa flavonoid yang terkandung didalam ekstrak yaitu termolabil serta meningkatkan kemampuan penghantaran pada kulit. Diperoleh kadar flavonoid total yang terkandung dalam ekstrak sebesar 95,204±3,568 mg/g. Metode emulsion solvent evaporation digunakan dalam preparasi ekstrak yang terenkapsulasi oleh polimer PLGA (poly-lactic-co-glycolic acid) dan stabilizer PVA (polyvynil alcohol). Konsentrasi PVA divariasikan untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap stabilisasi submikro partikel. Proporsi komponen PVA yang digunakan yaitu 50 mg, 60 mg dan 70 mg serta diperoleh nilai respon %EE berturut-turut 90,829%; 64,919%; dan 43,287%. Hasil karakterisasi submikro partikel formula terbaik (F1) menunjukkan nilai diameter partikel, PDI, dan zeta potensial berturut-turut sebesar 225,3±2,04 nm; 0,242±0,01; dan -12,4±1,3 mV. Hasil uji stabilitas formula terbaik menggunakan metode heating cooling cycle menunjukkan penurunan kadar sebesar 1,539±0,1%, penurunan pH sebesar 0,04±0,433, serta memiliki organoleptis berbau khas ekstrak, warna kuning tidak berubah, tetapi terbentuk sedikit partikel melayang.
