Abstract

Kompos merupakan alternatif pupuk organik yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi dampak yang diakibatkan dari penggunaan berlebihan pupuk anorganik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah dapat memberikan informasi tentang kualitas serta rekomendasi terbaik dari penggunaan pupuk kombinasi eceng gondok (Eichornia crassipes Mart. solm) dan pupuk kandang kambing disertai dengan penambahan aktivator cairan rumen. Penelitian dilakukan di Pusat Riset Pupuk Organik Jurusan Tanah pada bulan September hingga Desember 2020. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (RALF) dengan 5 taraf perlakuan dan 2 taraf jumlah mol. Variable yang diamati antara lain bau, kadar air, suhu, ukuran dan warna untuk parameter fisik serta C-organik, C/N rasio, K, Kadar logam Pb, Nitrogen Total, pH, dan P tersedia untuk parameter kimia. Data diolah menggunakan anova dan dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut duncan taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompos memiliki perlakuan terbaik. Kadar air kompos berkisar diantara 30-60%, suhu optimal berkisar 30C, Ukuran partikel berkisar 4-14 mm, warna kehitaman, dan memiliki bau seperti tanah. pH kompos berkisar 7,3-8,9, C-Organik berkisar 2-11%, N-Total berkisar 0,4-1,4%,C/N rasio berkisar 7-10%, P tersedia berkisar 30-115 ppm, K tersedia berkisar 0,9-1,8 ppm, dan logam Pb berkisar 8-15 ppm.
