Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation among online biology learning, learning environment, and metacognitive skills in Senior High School students of grade XI in Sub district of Kemuning Palembang. This study is correlational research with three variables. Predictor variable consists of online biology learning and learning environment. Criterion variable is metacognitive skills. The research sample was conducted by purposive sampling to determine Senior High School with A accreditation in sub district of Kemuning. Furthermore, random sampling were selected class XI IPA, and obtained four classes so that the total 144 students. Data collection techniques using instrument test and questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data retrieval is done through google form. Data analysis techniques are descriptively, correlation analysis, and multiple regression. The results showed that between online biology learning and metacognitive skills had a very low relationship (r = 0,169) with an influence of 2,8%, learning environment and metacogitive skills had a low relationship (r = 0,210) with an influence of 4,4%. Furthermore, simultaneously the variables of online biology learning and learning environment of metacognitive skills had a low relationship (r = 0,226) with an influence of 5,1%. Effective contribution of online biology learning and metacognitive skills by 0,99%, as well as learning environment and metacognitive skills by 4,13% so that the total effective contribution is 5,1%. Reflective contribution of online biology learning and metacognitive skills by 19% and reflective contribution of learning environment and metacognitive skills by 81%. The regression equation of this research is Y = 11,028 + 0,079 X1 + 0,477 X2.
