Abstract

This study aim to examine the effect of macro economic factors on stock returns in the restaurant, hotel & tourism sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the covid-19 pandemic. Which the variables used in this study are interest rate, exchange rate, inflation rate, and world oil price. This research used is a quantitative methods, with secondary data period on March 2020-March 2021. The sampling in this study used several criteria with data obtained as many as 14 companies. The analysis technique was carried out using panel data regression with Eviews 11 program. The results of research suggest that Interest Rate, Exchange Rate, and World Oil Price influential positive unsignificant effect on stock returns in the restaurant, hotel & tourism sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the covid-19 pandemic, meanwhile Inflation Rate influential negative unsignificant effect on stock returns in the restaurant, hotel & tourism sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the covid-19 pandemic.
