Abstract

Every year there are many students who want to take short semesters but cant take the courses they want due to majors that do not open these courses. Prediction of course demand is the use of programming technology to find out which courses have a lot of interest in the next semester. The a priori algorithm was chosen to predict course demand because of the method's ability to find final results faster than similar data mining algorithms. This study uses the support value to find courses with the best confidence value. Based on the research results, the support value of 40% will produce the best confidence in each subject to be taken.
