Abstract

Bengkulu City is a city that is quite famous for its natural beauty. One of the main attractions is the beach. The coastline in Bengkulu City even reaches 7 Km. With this apparent beauty, it is very good to be used as a tour. One of the facilities that do not exist at all to support tourism on this beach is a resort. So the urgency of resort planning and design becomes important. Resort planning and design with a locality concept. This concept focuses on the use of both local architectural designs, seeing local culture, seeing community relations and also using local materials as much as possible and responding well to the surrounding conditions. The use of this concept helps tourists who stay more familiar with the characters from the Bengkulu region and are able to provide their own charm with a distinctive traditional style. Its application to the site also pays attention to factors such as zoning, space requirements and also the shape of the curve describing the flow of waves on the beach. This concept is expected to be able to build a good, comfortable, and special environment for tourists who stay
