Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik melalui penerapan Problem Based Learning (PBL) materi operasi bentuk aljabar kelas VII SMP Negeri 25 OKU. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu RPP, LKPD, soal tes, dan angket respon peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa soal tes dan angket respon. Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal tes dan respon peserta didik terkait dengan penerapan model pembelajaran PBL pada materi operasi bentuk Aljabar. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik kelas VII yang terdiri 4 kategori yaitu sangat baik, baik, cukup, dan kurang. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa peserta didik dengan kategori sangat baik mampu untuk memunculkan semua indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah, sedangkan untuk peserta didik kategori baik, cukup, dan, kurang hanya mampu menunjukan beberapa indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil angket respon mencapai nilai persentase sebesar 78,6 % yang berarti respon peserta didik sangat baik dalam penerapan PBL pada proses pembelajaran.
