Abstract

This research aim to help students in process decision of majors. This research was conducted on students XI Social Class of SMA Muhammadiyah I Palembang. In the process of determining majors, students often faced obstacles such as not being able to clearly determine which department is in accordance with their interests and abilities. The research used the entropy method and Technique Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to resolve the problem of decision making. The Entropy method is a method used to give a score to the reference value, which supports a decision made by the Technique Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. The results of this system can provide a decision on each student according to their determined interests and abilities.
