Abstract

Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan nilai hasil uji kekerasan dengan standar nilai kekerasan dari material stainless steel 304, baja karbon rendah dan alumunium. Hasil uji kekerasan diukur identasinya menggunakan Mikroskop Olympus SZ61 dan STM6-LM. Hasil pengukuran identasi diolah menjadi nilai kekerasan dan nilai ketidakpastian. Dari hasil yang didapatkan pada material stainless steel 304, baja karbon rendah dan alumunium terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai kekerasan, sehingga nilai kekerasannya tidak sesuai dengan standar nilai kekerasan. Pada nilai identasi hasil uji kekerasan, Mikroskop Olympus STM6-LM memiliki nilai yang lebih besar dibandingkan Mikroskop Olympus SZ61, sehingga Mikroskop Olympus STM6-LM memiliki nilai ketidakpastian yang lebih tinggi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur hasil uji kekerasan lebih efektif dilakukan dengan menggunakan Mikroskop Olympus SZ61 yang terdapat di Laboratorium Metalurgi Universitas Sriwijaya Fakultas Teknik jurusan Teknik Mesin Indralaya. This study aims to compare the value of the hardness test results with the standard hardness values of stainless steel 304, low carbon steel and aluminum. The results of the hardness test were measured using the Olympus SZ61 and STM6-LM microscopes. The indentation measurement results are processed into hardness values and uncertainty values. From the results obtained on stainless steel 304, low carbon steel and aluminum, there are several factors that affect the hardness value, so that the hardness value is not in accordance with the standard hardness value. In the identification value of the hardness test results, the Olympus STM6-LM Microscope has a greater value than the Olympus SZ61 Microscope, so the Olympus STM6-LM Microscope has a higher uncertainty value. The conclusion of this study is to measure the results of the hardness test more effectively using the Olympus SZ61 Microscope located at the Metallurgical Laboratory of Sriwijaya University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indralaya.
