Abstract

Abstrak Seiring Perkembangan jaman, teknologi komputer sudah semakin maju sehingga dapat membantu dalam hal pemecahan masalah khususnya di bidang rekayasa ilmu pengetahuan. Seperti yang kita ketahui dalam bidang teknik mesin terdapat berbagai macam permasalahan yang dimana dengan bantuan aplikasi komputer dapat membantu para insinyur untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut. Metode yang sudah sangat lama dikembangkan yaitu metode elemen hingga adalah salah satu metode yang bisa berkembang hingga tahap visual akibat dari perkembangan teknologi informasi. Metode elemen hingga pada dahulu hanya di gunakan untuk mengitung konstruksi rangka sederhana dengan perhitungan yang sangat rumit juga, namun sekarang MEH (Metode Elemen Hingga) juga bukan hanya dapat menyelesaikan persoalan di bidang mekanika teknik, namun di bidang konversi energi juga dapat diterapkan sepeti perpindahan panas, ketika variabel dan fungsi rumus dari suatu persamaan perpindahan panas sangat kompleks maka dengan bantuan komputer bisa membantu manusia menyelesaikan persamaan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu melakukan analisis tegangan, regangan, dan perpindahan kritis pada rangka menara tangki air dengan menggunakan software Solidwork, melakukan pengecekan keamanan konstruksi menara tangki air dengan menggunakan software Solidwork. Pengujian kali ini terdiri dari simulasi von moises stress, factor of safety, dan displacement. Maka dari itu pengujian ini dilakukan dengan dua kali pengujian pembebanan, yaitu kasus pembebanan deadload 500 kg dan 1.500 kg. Kata Kunci : tower, rangka, baja, air metode elemen hingga, solidwork Abstract Along with the times, computer technology has become more advanced so that it can help in solving problems, especially in the field of scientific engineering. As we know in the field of mechanical engineering there are various kinds of problems which with the help of computer applications can help engineers to solve these problems. The method that has been developed for a long time, namely the finite element method, is one method that can develop to the visual stage as a result of the development of information technology. The finite element method was previously only used to calculate simple frame constructions with very complicated calculations, but now MEH (Finite Element Method) is also not only able to solve problems in the field of engineering mechanics, but in the field of energy conversion it can also be applied such as heat transfer. , when the variables and formula functions of a heat transfer equation are very complex then with the help of computers can help humans solve the equation. The purpose of this research is to analyze the stress, strain, and critical displacement on the water tank tower frame using Solidwork software, to check the safety of the water tank tower construction using Solidwork software. This test consists of simulating von Moises stress, factor of safety, and displacement. Therefore, this test was carried out with two loading tests, namely the case of loading a deadload of 500 kg and 1,500 kg. Keywords: tower, frame, steel, water finite element method, solidwork
