Abstract

Sampah merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang ada di Kota Palembang saat ini, dengan bertambah jumlah penduduk. Maka, volume sampah yang dihasilkan setiap hari semakin bertambah. Tempat Penampung Sementara (TPS) Sampah seharusnya disetiap kecamatan harus mencukupi supaya volume sampah yang bertambah dapat tertampung dan mengurangi adanya TPS tidak resmi saat ini. Dalam penilitian ini data primer didapat dari survei lapangan dengan alat bantu GPS Maps Camera hasil data yang didapat yaitu data koordinat, akses jalan, keadaan dan titik TPS resmi, tidak resmi. Data sekunder didapat dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota Palembang yang dimana data yang didapat data penduduk 4 tahun sebelumnya. Adapun teknis penelitian dilakukan perhitungan jumlah penduduk, laju timbulan sampah yang berdasarkan SNI 1993 tentang klasifikasi sampah berdasarkan kota dengan menganalisis sampah dari jumlah penduduk, timbulan sampah, proyeksi kebutuhan TPS dan kebutuhan tambahan TPS 6 tahun kedepan. Penilitian ini menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Excel dan Arcgis. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian berupa jumlah timbulan sampah, kebutuhan TPS dan kebutuhan tambahan TPS di Kota Palembang.
