Abstract

As lhe oldest city in Indonesia, Palembang has a long and strong historical story. However, umil now Palembang yet have 011 adequate place to showcase the history of ilS development For that. the presence of a representative gallery needed a s10refro111 to display a variety of artwork depicting the history of the development of the city of Palembang. The preser,ce of City Gallery Palembang, is expected to be a place to interact educational and recreation for city reside ms while raising the touris ts who visit Palembang city. Located in the city cemer, the building exterior of City Gallery Palembang designed with conJemporary concepts that blend imo the architectural style of the S111ro,mdi11g buildings. While inside the gallery used space a<; a visual approach. with the aim that visitors can enjoy andfeel the beauty of the architectural works of art, not just looking at the arrwork in it alone.
