Abstract

This research was a research development of teaching materials in the form of a food chemistry module integrated on Problem Based Learning for chemistry education students of the FKIP Sriwijaya University. It aimed to produce a learning module that meets valid and practical criteria. This research used the development model proposed by ADDIE consisting of three stages i.e analysis, design, and development. Tessmer Evaluation was used for the evaluation stage which consists of four stages, namely expert review, one-to-one evaluation, small group evaluation, and field test. The data collection was carried out by interviewing and filling out a questionnaire. The following were the results of the expert review on the aspects of content, pedagogy, and design; the validation results of the content aspects were 0.94 with the high category, the pedagogical validation results showed the validity results of 0.83 with the high category, and the design validation was 0.92 with the high category. In the one to one stage, the average student response to the use of the module was 86.1% with very practical criteria. The assessment for the small group stage obtained an average value of student responses to the use of modules reaching 90.7%. Thus, it could be concluded that the teaching materials developed in the form of a food chemistry module integrated on Problem Based Learning on the topic of carbohydrates meet the valid and practical criteria.
