Abstract

Weather is all events that can affect human daily life. One method that can predict the weather is Fuzzy Inference System (FIS), but the problem that is often faced when implementing fuzzy logic is the difficulty of determining the appropriate value of the membership function for a problem. One algorithm that is able to find an optimal solution is a genetic algorithm, this algorithm is able to solve complex problems so that the limits obtained can be an optimal solution. The results of the evaluation of weather prediction with the Mamdani Inference System using membership functions obtained from genetic algorithm is able to improve the accuracy of the weather prediction result which is 72.9% compared to using the Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System with the membership function of the expert that is 70%.
