Abstract

Nickel is a metallic elements which are naturally occuring silvery white. nickel ore deposits found in indonesia are included in the nickel laterite type. laterite deposits are the result of furhter processing from ultramatic rocks that carry NiSilicate. most of the nickel in indonesia is found in Central of Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, and North Maluku. one of the companies engaged in the nickel mining industry is PT Djava Berkah Mineral which operates in Bungintimbe Village, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. in carrying out mining activites, it is necessary to reconcile the pit that has been mined to detemine the target achievement of the plan. The estimated total reserves at pit B are 337.068 tonnes, with Ni content of 1,93%. and then, the actual mining results obtained a tonnage value of 520.543,28 tonnes, with Ni content of 1,78%. the reconciliation results obtained are minning recovery of 154%, grade recovery of 92%, and dilution of 8%. the factor that causes this difference comes from the difficulty in distinguishing the material to be mined in the field so that are many poles to mark the Ni content in each area. and also, impurities are often picked up which results in a large dilution value.
