Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison effect of soil planting media, gambier dregs and chicken manure on the growth of gambier (Uncaria gambir Roxb) plant nurseries. This research was conducted at Shade home of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya started from September 2019 to January 2020. The research design was a Randomized Block Design (RBD), with 4 treatments and 4 replications. Each treatment had seedling which required 96 gambier seedling The treatments were N0 = soil (control), N1 = soil 1: gambier dregs 1 (V / V), N2 = soil 1: chicken manure 1 (V / V), N3 = soil 1: gambier dregs 1: chicken manure 1. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that the treatmen of N2 : soil 1 : chicken manure 1 (V/V)gave the best result on the growth of gambier plants. This can be seen from the observed result, which significantly affected plant on 5MST and 10MST, 5MST leaf number, total leaf area, plant wet weight, canopy wet weight, stem wet weight, leaf wet weight, dry weight. plant, shoot dry weight, stem dry weight, leaf dry weight, root dry weight, root canopy ratio.
