Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh independensi, kompetensi dan akuntabilitas terhadap kualitas audit dan pengaruh due professional care sebagai variabel yang memediasi hubungan antara independensi, kompetensi dan akuntabilitas terhadap kualitas audit pada KAP di Kota Palembang. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik sensus sampling didapatkan sebanyak 48 kuesioner dengan 56 total kuesioner yang disebarkan pada KAP di Kota Palembang. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi dan akuntabilitas memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas audit serta independensi, kompetensi dan akuntabilitas memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap due professional care. Namun, independensi dan due professional care tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas audit. Due professional care mampu memediasi hubungan antara independensi, kompetensi dan akuntabilitas terhadap kualitas audit. Keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini adalah terbatasnya ruang lingkup objek penelitian hanya pada 48 auditor yang terdaftar di KAP Kota Palembang sehingga hasil dari penelitian ini tidak dapat digeneralisasikan untuk semua auditor. Kata kunci: Independensi, Kompetensi, Akuntabilitas, Kualitas Audit, Due Professional Care.
