Abstract

This study aims to determine how much income and the number of family members influence household consumption of the mustahik community in kelurahan Bukitlama kecamatan Ilir Barat I, Palembang city. The data used in this study is primary data obtained directly from the field through a questionnaire, with 35 mustahik as respondents. The analysis technique used in this study is the multiple linear regression analysis techniques, namely by looking at the influence caused by mustahik's income and the number of family members on mustahik's household consumption. The results of this study indicate that income has a significant positive effect on mustahik’s household consumption. In addition to income, the number of dependent family members also has a positive and significant impact on mustahik’s household consumption expenditures. Likewise, the assistance of zakat funds to mustahik has a positive effect on mustahik’s household consumption expenditures.
