Abstract

The attendance system is an activity carried out in every institution such as education and offices. With the attendance system, it can increase discipline for everyone and for the institution it self. In the attendance system, the problem that usually occurs is the problem of recording the attendance of each student and lecturer, where the current attendance system still uses the manual method by calling or taking turns and the student data recording system is still manual. With this manual method, it can result in reduced student learning time and cheating can occur on absent assignments and the system for recording student attendance data that still uses inefficient paper. By utilizing the latest technology, namely Smartphones, the attendance system can now be carried out through an Android Smartphone which is integrated with a wireless local area network.
