Abstract
The biogas plant is planned to be located in the Ngawi area, East Java. This factory covers an area of 7.52 Ha with a capacity of 1,535 Tons/year. The process of making biogas is carried out through a rice straw fermentation process with the help of anaerobic bacteria inoculum at a temperature of 35oC and pressure. The fermentation reaction takes place in the Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) reactor with a residence time of 36 days. The purification process is carried out to increase the methane content in biogas to obtain biogas which has the same heating value as natural gas. This factory is a company in the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organization system, led by a president director with 140 employees. Based on the results of the economic analysis, the Biogas Plant is declared feasible to be established with the following economic analysis: Investment = US$ 309,195,449.62, Sales Revenue per Year = US$189,074,651.12, Production Cost per Year = US$ 105,226,745.45, Net Profit per Year = US$ 58,693,533.97, Pay Out Time = 3,701 years, Rate of Return on Investment = 18.98 %, Discounted Cash Flow –ROR = 24,68 %, Break Even Point = 38.47%, and Service Life = 11 years.
