Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of budget performance of the Communication and Information Office of Ogan Ilir Regency during the COVID-19 pandemic using a value for money perspective, value for money is an organizational management concept based on three main criteria, namely economy, efficiency and effectiveness. This research was conducted at the Department of Communication and Information Technology of Ogan Ilir Regency. This research is a descriptive research with the object of research is the realization of budget achievement data contained in the Government Agency Performance Accountability Report (LAKIP). The types of data used are primary data and secondary data, while the data collection methods used are documentation studies, observations and supported by interviews. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis on economic, efficiency and effectiveness measurements. Based on the results of the research on the budget performance of the Office of Communication and Information Technology of Ogan Ilir Regency during the COVID-19 pandemic, the level of performance was less economical, efficient and effective. To get optimal results, the Department of Communication and Information of Ogan Ilir Regency needs to minimize the use of the budget for each program and activity, increase human resources, especially in the financial department and improve the maintenance of existing facilities and infrastructure.
