Abstract
Nowadays, the back to nature lifestyle is increasingly popular among the public to utilize medicinal plants that are natural in nature. According to WHO, 65% of the population of developed countries use medicinal plants made from natural ingredients as a traditional treatment option. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Management of Family Medicinal Plants in the Work Area of the Puskesmas Kampus, Palembang City. This research is qualitative in nature with in-depth interviews, observation and document review methods. The validity test was carried out using triangulation of sources, methods and data. There were 7 informants in this study who were selected by purposive method by considering the principles of suitability and adequacy. The results of the research on human resource input amounted to four people, there were three ASMAN groups that were fostered by the health center, had traditional health service facilities, and the puskesmas already had Standard Operating Procedures for traditional health services. The components of the puskesmas work program planning process follow the Activity Implementation Plan that has been prepared, the implementation of socialization to the public regarding medicinal plants being a health product, and reports on traditional health activities are collected once a month to the City Health Office. The output component of the ASMAN group assisted by Puskesmas Kampus creates processed medicinal plants products such as ginger candy and lemongrass mosquito repellent spray. It is hoped that the Puskesmas Kampus will continue to provide guidance to the ASMAN group to improve the community's ability to produce innovative variants of medicinal plants processed products.
