Abstract

Telah dilakukan pengukuran nilai suseptibilitas magnetik dan komposisi mineral magnetik pada tanah disekitar sentral tenun songket di Kampung BNI Desa Muara Penimbung Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai suseptibilitas dan komposisi mineral magnetik yang terkandung pada tanah daerah penelitian. Pengukuran suseptibilitas dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat Bartington Suseptibilitymeter sedangkan karakterisasi dengan metode X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Dari hasil pengukuran suseptibilitas diperoleh nilai tertinggi berada pada titik P3 dengan kedalaman 0-10 cm dengan suseptibilitas 792,30×〖10〗^(-8) m^3/kg dan terendah berada pada titik P5 dengan kedalaman 40-50 cm dengan nilai 28,50×〖10〗^(-8) m^3/kg. Berdasarkan perhitungan Frequency Dependent diketahui jenis mineral dominan daerah penelitian adalah superparamagnetik. Dari nilai suseptibilitas dan analisa X-Ray Diffraction diketahui mineral yang paling dominan pada daerah penelitian adalah hematite (Fe2O3) dan diperoleh juga kandungan logam berat berupa Fe, Al dan Si pada sampel tanah. Hal ini diduga bahwa daerah peneltian ini terjadi pembuangan limbah cair tenun songket dalam jumlah yang cukup banyak dan rentang waktu yang cukup lama.
