Abstract

This study discusses the evaluation of the implementation of teacher certification policies at public elementary schools in Indralaya Utara district, Ogan Ilir district. The purpose of this study was to determine the Evaluation of Teacher Certification Policy Implementation at Public Elementary Schools in Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research method is descriptive and qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. This study uses the CIPP Evaluation Model which consists of Context, Input, Process and Product as an analysis tool. The discussion of this study focuses on the implementation evaluation process at SDN 02 Indralaya Utara. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Teacher Certification Policy at SDN 02 Indralaya Utara is quite good. This can be seen from the large number of teachers who received certification at SDN 02 Indralaya Utara. However, for the implementation of certification at this school there are still obstacles, namely the lack of knowledge of teachers in using laptops or computers. In addition, there is still a lack of some infrastructure facilities resources, namely the lack of training or training for teachers who have not passed certification. Suggestions generated from this research are that the Education and Culture Office of Ogan Ilir Regency must prepare training and facilities for teachers who have not received certification. As well as improving the quality of teachers who have received certification so that the goals and benefits of certification can be felt by teachers and increase students' knowledge in the teaching and learning process.
