Abstract

Kereta Api Indonesia is one of the transportation service companies that often experiences increases and decreases in the number of passengers that fluctuates every period, especially during the Eid holiday period, in this case it is important that PT KAI (Persero) makes predictions to estimate the needs of the train fleet to transport passengers and avoid transported passengers. The assessment of a Neural Network Backpropagation method is carried out using data on the number of passengers in the Lebaran day-to-day transportation period from 2010-2021 which will give the best error results and prove that it can predict anomaly because 2020 is experiencing covid19. The results of the tests that have been carried out show an error of 6.980% for the normal case and 42.731% for the new normal case which shows that the backpropagation neural network algorithm is able to predict an anomalous condition.
