Abstract
At the University of PGRI Palembang, especially the Faculty of Engineering, managing information to prospective new students is very important to build a good image and achieve a level of satisfaction with prospective new students to become part of the University of PGRI Palembang. In order to achieve a high level of service satisfaction from prospective new students, a university must provide and disseminate information evenly to prospective new students. As well as providing good service and attractive offers for prospective new students. However, the large number of prospective new students makes it difficult to achieve an even distribution of information. This study aims to implement a Web-based SMS Gateway at the Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang as a technology that can manage the relationship between prospective new students and the university by using the concept of CRM (Customer Relationship Management). CRM itself is a very suitable approach to dealing with problems related to new students. SMS Gateway-based CRM is customer service that uses SMS media, with SMS, information relating to information about new student admissions can be achieved evenly and increase the satisfaction of prospective new students to become new students at the Faculty of Engineering, PGRI University Palembang.
