Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of chicken manure on the growth and yield of red chili strain on peat soil planting media. The study was conducted in the Talang Kelapa area, Alang-Alang Lebar District, Palembang from November 2020 to January 2021. The study used a factorial randomized block design with 2 factors, consisting of 9 treatments and 3 replications, so there were 27 units. Each treatment unit consisted of 2 plants. The first factor is chili line, G1 = Strain 1 (F10120005-141-16-35-1-3, G3 = Strain 3 (F10120005-141-16-35-7-1), G4 = Strain 4 (F10120005-241- 2-9-4-4) The second factor is chicken manure P0 = control (without manure), P1 = 10 tons/ha (0,25 kg/polybag) manure, P2 = 20 tons/ha manure (0,5 kg/polybag). Analysis of diversity using the anova test and continued with the BNT 5% test. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, age of flowering, plant fresh and dry weight, leaf area, total fruit weight, fruit diameter and fruit length. The results showed that the treatment of chili lines had a significant effect on the twelfth week of plant height variables. The chicken manure treatment showed a significant effect on the variables of fresh weight and dry weight of plants. For the combination treatment of chili lines and manure showed a significant effect on weight. total fruit of red chili plants, but did not significantly affect the other variables his. The best treatment was found in treatment G4 (Strain 4) with a dose of chicken manure 20 tons/ha or the equivalent of 0,5 kg/polybag.
