Abstract

The agricultural sector plays an important role in improving the community economy. The progress ofagricultural equipment affects agricultural yields, one of the problems for farmers is the process of weeding that have not been controlled. It is necessary to have agricultural tools and machines that can help farmers to be more effective in their work’s. One of the processing is the process of counting the number of weed stands. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the rotational speed of theblade cultivator on the weeding yield of several types of weeds. The method used was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with two research factors, namely blade rotation speed (A) and weed type (B) with four levels. Study and each treatment combination was repeated three times.The parameters of this research are actual effective field capacity, weeding efficiency, and fuel consumption. The results of this study showed that the combination treatment of blade rotation speed and weed type had a significant effect on the effective field capacity of the tool and weeding efficiency but had no significant effect on fuel consumption. For the value of the highest effective field capacity of the tool is found in the combination of weeds, and the rotation speed is 112 rpm (A2B2) with a value of 753.9 m2 /hour. The highest value of weeding efficiency was obtained at the treatment speed of 112 rpm and the type of weed Jawan grass (A2B1) was 93.6%. The highest fuel consumption wasat the treatment of rotational speed of 80 rpm and the type of weed grass bone (A1B3) that is 25.8 l/Ha.
